I’m so excited to introduce a brand-new blog series!
Each episode will feature a summary of my in-depth interview with a natural health practitioners from across the globe. They will share why they chose a niche specialization for their practice, which patients they serve, and how they have benefited from narrowing their practice focus.
Why Niche Practices are Effective
The idea for this series came from many discussions with practice owners about their marketing goals. I discovered that owners who generate the highest profit margins, have a great work-life balance, and feel in control of the direction in which they’re headed all had one thing in common:
They all had a crystal-clear idea of who they serve,
what value they offer, and
how they are different than all the competitors.
A selective focus allows you you stand out in a crowded market. When you choose to focus on a single type of disease, problem area, body system, or treatment modality, we call this a niche.
More than ever before, patients are looking for natural health alternatives and treatment methods. Now is the perfect time for practice owners to connect with their Ideal Patients using tools such as
- social media,
- Search Engine Optimization, and
- word-of-mouth referrals.
But the biggest barrier to building a sustainable practice is often the mistake of doing too much: a generalized, forgettable message that doesn’t connect with the right patients.
Successful practice owners see opportunities in the market. They invest time, effort, and training in their craft and become true experts, rather than generalists. Niche practitioners also guide their patients to understand the high value of results they receive, rather than offering deep discounts and low prices (which cheapens the perceived value of their service).
Consider the amazing benefits of picking a narrow focus.
